📖 How to use it
A formal particle that marks location, means, or time, equivalent to で in casual speech.
Attaches to
Attaches directly to nouns (place, tool, method, time) with no intervening particle.
にて is the formal written equivalent of the particle で. It can indicate where an action takes place (at/in), the means by which something is done (with/by), or occasionally a time. You will encounter it in official documents, announcements, business letters, and formal speeches. In everyday conversation, using にて sounds stiff and bookish, so stick with で unless you are writing formally or making an announcement.
会議は3階の会議室にて行います。
Kaigi wa sangai no kaigishitsu nite okonaimasu.
The meeting will be held in the conference room on the third floor.
本日は電車にて参りました。
Honjitsu wa densha nite mairimashita.
Today I came by train.
お問い合わせは下記のメールアドレスにてお願いします。
Otoiawase wa kaki no meeru adoresu nite onegaishimasu.

で is used in both speech and writing; にて is strictly formal and primarily written. Replace にて with で in conversation without changing meaning.
