At Nihoner, we want you to succeed in your Japanese learning journey. To protect both you and us, it is important to be clear about what Nihoner is — and what it is not.
1. Not a University or Accredited Institution
- Nihoner is a private, independent digital learning platform.
- We are not a university, college, or government-accredited educational institution under the laws of Poland, Japan, the European Union, the United States, or any other country.
- We do not issue diplomas, degrees, or formally recognized qualifications.
2. Purpose of Certificates & Achievements
- From time to time, Nihoner may provide learners with certificates of completion, progress badges, streak awards, or points.
- These achievements are designed to:
- Recognize your dedication,
- Keep you motivated, and
- Celebrate your learning milestones.
- They are not equivalent to an official qualification and cannot be used as:
- Valid proof of fluency,
- Admission requirements for schools or universities,
- Work or immigration credentials,
- Government-recognized certifications.
3. No Misrepresentation
By using Nihoner, you agree not to present any certificates, badges, or records earned here as:
- Accredited diplomas or licenses,
- Professional qualifications, or
- Government-approved credentials.
Any misuse may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund and may expose you to legal responsibility.
4. Focus on Real Learning Results
While certificates are symbolic, your real reward is knowledge and skill. Our platform gives you:
- The largest Japanese learner’s dictionary, with hundreds of thousands of entries you can save infinitely,
- A lexicon of over 200,000 words, with meanings, romaji, listening support, and pronunciation practice,
- Games with kanji, hiragana, katakana, vocabulary, and grammar, built to make practice addictive and effective,
- Courses, cultural lessons, and city data that bring the Japanese language to life.
No piece of paper can give you fluency — but consistent learning here can.
5. No Guarantee of External Recognition
- Nihoner is not responsible if schools, universities, employers, or immigration authorities decline to accept Nihoner participation or certificates.
- It is your responsibility to verify external requirements with the relevant institution.
6. Legal Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Nihoner and its operators shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from reliance on Nihoner certificates or achievements.
- Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of:
- The total fees you paid in the last three (3) months, or
- EUR 100 (one hundred euros).
7. Governing Law
This Disclaimer is governed by the laws of Poland. Disputes must be resolved in the competent courts of Warsaw, unless mandatory consumer laws in your country state otherwise.

At Nihoner, our goal is not to give you a piece of paper to frame on your wall. Our goal is to give you something far more valuable:
