Nihoner.com (“Nihoner”, “we”, “our”) provides Japanese language learning tools, practice materials, and community features. This page explains the limits of our educational status, how minors may participate, and the key legal disclaimers that protect both you and us.
1. Non-Accredited Status
- Nihoner is a private, independent learning platform created to help you grow your Japanese skills.
- We are not accredited by:
- The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) in Japan,
- The Polish Ministry of Education and Science,
- The European Union or European Higher Education Area,
- The U.S. Department of Education,
- Or any other educational authority.
- We do not issue diplomas, degrees, or professional licenses.
What this means for you: every achievement here reflects your effort and progress, not a government credential. Your true value is the knowledge you build, not a piece of paper.
2. Certificates & Badges
- Our certificates, badges, and points are designed to celebrate milestones and motivate your journey.
- They are not official qualifications and may not be used as:
- Accredited academic documents,
- Government-recognized certifications,
- Proof of professional licensing,
- Immigration or admission records.

Any misuse or misrepresentation is prohibited and may result in suspension without refund.
3. Educational Purpose Only
- All Nihoner materials are for personal, non-commercial learning.
- Nothing here replaces professional, legal, immigration, financial, medical, or career advice.
- Learners must confirm external requirements with schools, employers, or authorities.
4. Minor Participation & Parental Consent
- Nihoner is not directed to children under:
- 13 years (U.S. COPPA),
- 16 years (EU, unless lower by Member State law),
- Or the applicable local consent age.
- Users under 18 (or local majority age) may join only with verified parental or guardian consent.
- Parents/guardians are legally responsible for:
- Approving their child’s participation,
- Supervising platform use and purchases,
- Monitoring learning activities.
5. Voidability of Minor Contracts
- Contracts made by minors without parental consent are voidable under many laws.
- Nihoner may:
- Suspend or terminate accounts of underage users without refund,
- Delete related personal data,
- Treat unauthorized minor use as a material breach of Terms.
6. No Guarantee of Results
- Learning outcomes vary by effort, background, consistency, and environment.
- Nihoner does not guarantee:
- Fluency,
- Exam results,
- Admissions, jobs, or visas,
- Any specific measurable outcome.
Testimonials are real stories, not promises. They highlight what is possible, not what is guaranteed.
7. Third-Party Recognition
- Nihoner is not responsible if schools, universities, employers, or immigration offices decline to accept Nihoner participation, hours, or certificates.
- It is the learner’s responsibility to check outside requirements.
8. Consumer Protection & Cooling-Off Period
- EU/UK users may have a 14-day statutory withdrawal right.
- By purchasing, you expressly consent to immediate digital access and acknowledge that the withdrawal right is waived once you access content.
- This waiver is presented clearly at checkout and must be accepted before payment.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Nihoner, its owners, and affiliates are not liable for damages or claims based on reliance on our content, minor participation, or certificate recognition.
- Where liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at the greater of:
- Fees you paid in the preceding three (3) months, or
- EUR 100 (one hundred euros).
This cap applies regardless of legal theory (contract, negligence, tort, etc.).
10. Jurisdiction & Governing Law
- This Disclaimer is governed by the laws of Poland, subject to mandatory consumer rights in your country.
- Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Warsaw, Poland, unless consumer law requires otherwise.
11. Enforcement & Survival
- Nihoner may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, without refunds.
- Sections 1–10 remain valid and enforceable even after account closure.
12. A Note to Learners
While Nihoner cannot grant official degrees or government certificates, what we give is something greater: the ability to understand, speak, and connect in Japanese. Your certificate here is not for your CV — it is a reminder of your own discipline, passion, and growth.
