Children’s Online Safety & Parental Guidance Policy

Last Updated: 27-Oct-2025

At Nihoner.com, the safety of children and the trust of parents are top priorities. While our platform is primarily designed for learners above the digital age of consent, we believe it is our responsibility to set clear boundaries and safeguards for minors.

1. Age Requirements & Eligibility

  • Our Services are not directed to children under 13 in the U.S. (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act – COPPA) or under 16 in the EU, unless local Member States allow a lower age.
  • Users under 18 years of age must have active supervision and consent from a parent or guardian.
  • We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate accounts created in violation of this age policy, without refund.

2. Parental Responsibility

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for overseeing their child’s learning activities, purchases, and interactions on Nihoner.
  • We recommend enabling parental controls on devices and reviewing our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and UGC Policy together with your child.

3. Data Collection & Privacy of Minors

  • We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under applicable minimum ages.
  • If we become aware that such data was submitted, we will:
    • Delete the data immediately,
    • Terminate the associated account,
    • Notify the parent/guardian where possible.
  • Children’s learning data (quizzes, exercises) is stored securely and used solely for educational purposes.

4. Community & Content Safety

  • Our platform includes community features (forums, comments, interactive tools). We moderate these but cannot guarantee complete safety.
  • Parents are encouraged to monitor interactions and remind children never to share personal information online.

5. Educational Integrity

  • Nihoner is for language learning only. Using the platform to cheat on exams or assessments is strictly prohibited.

6. Reporting Concerns
