Kare wa itsumo uso o tsuku node, mou mikagitta.
He always lies, so I've given up on him.
会社を見限って転職を決めた。
Kaisha o mikagitte tenshoku o kimeta.
I gave up on the company and decided to change jobs.
⚖️ 見限る implies a complete, often emotional abandonment after disappointment, while 諦める means simply accepting something is impossible.
