A somewhat formal or literary verb used for fulfilling wishes, dreams, or conditions, common in writing and speeches.
彼は長年の夢を叶えた。
Kare wa naganen no yume o kanaeta.
He fulfilled his long-held dream.
条件を叶えるのは難しい。
Jōken o kanaeru no wa muzukashii.
It is difficult to meet the conditions.
⚖️ Not to be confused with かなう (kanau), which is intransitive and means 'to come true' or 'to be granted' on its own.
