- senkou (one's) late father
"先考" is a formal and archaic term for one's deceased father, encountered in writing, obituaries, or respectful contexts. In everyday speech it is rare; "父" (chichi) is used for one's own father.
先考の遺志を継いで、私は医者になった。
Senkou no ishi o tsuide, watashi wa isha ni natta.
Following my late father's will, I became a doctor.
この写真は先考が若い頃に撮ったものです。
Kono shashin wa senkou ga wakai koro ni totta mono desu.
This photo was taken by my late father when he was young.
