〜ました (past polite form)
Use 〜ました to talk about actions that are already finished, such as things you did yesterday or last weekend. Example: えいがを 見ました (I watched a movie).

One way to write it
せんしゅうの にちようびに ともだちと こうえんへ 行きました。そして、こうえんで さんぽを しました。
The past polite form 行きました and しました shows the actions are finished, which fits last Sunday. The particles と for 'with a friend', へ for direction, and で for the place of action keep the sentence clear at N5 level.
