〜ました (past polite form)
Use the past polite form 〜ました to talk about things that already happened, like yesterday or last week. For example, いきました means 'went' and みました means 'watched'.

The sentence uses へ to mark the destination of movement, and と to show who was with the speaker. Both verbs are in the past polite form 〜ました because the events are finished.
