Continued alertness in Japanese is “残心” (zanshin). Full meaning: continued alertness, unrelaxed alertness, remaining on one's guard, being prepared for a counterstroke; follow-through (e.g. in archery); lingering affection, attachment, regret, regrets, reluctance.
