“Talismans” in Japanese

Talismans in Japanese is “焚き上げ” (takiage). Full meaning: bonfire often in temple grounds, usu. of charms, talismans, New Year decorations, etc.; ritual burning of money, cedar sticks, or other objects as an offering.
